If I were to OC I'd still use my Blade Tech OWB since it fits so close to the body.

I found one quite useful when backpacking in Colorado since they are open carry. Any belt holster in the way of the pack amd I wanted quick access in the unlikely event I came across a bear.

I'd still go with a regular belt holster and run a 2" drop off the belt. They were widely used years ago when there weren't other better options

FWIW, the best open carry holster is simply not open carrying. Let someone else volunteer to be cannon fodder.

Have any evidence for this? Plenty of states have had open carry for years and I am not aware of any open carrier being gunned down first because of wearing the gun.

                  It's just a personal opinion.

However, I simply cannot come up with a single tactical advantage for open carry except for convenience and comfort.

I'd probably add speed in there as well.

Some will also argue that it serves as a deterrent to criminals. Theory being, are you going to walk into a gas station and try to rob it if you see several people around open carrying? Kind of goes back to the old saying: "An armed society is a polite society."

Of course, that is a similar scenario that is used by those that oppose open carry, stating that the criminal will just take out the OC people first.

I could see that, but how many armed robberies arent murders? I would assume that most of those folks choosing to rob a gas station with a gun arent looking to kill anyone, and wan it to be as easy as possible.

And if they see other guns in there, so they will know it won't be 'easy'. Therefore, they will go rob some other place (like one that doesn't allow guns inside).

That's the argument.. I still haven't ultimately decided. I mean, I think it should be legal, either way. Just not sure if I will do it other than the few exceptions I have mentioned before.

I'm just saying, when you hear my spurs jingle jangle through the door of the gas station, you better know this rhinestone holster is locked, loaded, and ready for action!
