Yildiz are garbage. They might last a season or two, but be prepared to have a gun break that no one wants to work on, and the factory doesn't support well. Go with a Stoeger Condor in that price range. They even make 30" dedicated competition gun with an adjustable cheekpiece and ported barrels. It will actually last a while, and run with some more expensive shotguns. If it's too heavy, save another $200 and get a CZ.

I don't like Yildiz shotguns. I've seen a bunch of their O/U's with barrels separating from the chambers. Run, don't walk from that brand.

The best over/under shotguns merge beauty and performance in a reliable and functional package for hunting, target shooting, and competition.

They like Yales gun. Shit it is cheap also. Never heard of the Mossberg Silver.

You would have more credibility with me if you hadnt said Stoeger.

I've had really good luck with the Stoegers we've sold. Admittedly, most of those have been M3000/M3500's and Condors. We almost don't keep P-350's on hand, as actual Benelli Novas are pretty cheap.

I've shot a Yildiz and it was ok, nothing fancy... I've got a 12ga and 20ga Baikal O/U that were bought new about 15 years ago that held up great. I think Remington bought them?

I absolutely love my Super Sport though.

I was impressed with ur yildiz at the gtg i was at. Seemed like a great gun for the price range. It was the reason i bought the yildiz 20g auto for my daughter. Its been flawless so far.
Oh and to answer the op. I have three shotguns. A whinchester model12, mossburg 500, and a browning a5. I dont think the two pumps have fired a shell in over ten years. I use the a5 for everything.
