Next thing I am looking at is budget( somewhat ) glass. I'm leaning heavily towards Vortex Razor HD 5-20-50 with Vortex rings, or maybe a removable style. Any suggestions?

Budget?
Vortex Razors are nice, and also heavy!"Laws that forbid the carrying of arms...disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes...Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man." - Thomas Jefferson, 1776

It is a lot more capable at hitting targets at 1,000 yards and beyond. It also has less recoil so long shooting sessions will not be as fatiguing."Laws that forbid the carrying of arms...disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes...Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man." - Thomas Jefferson, 1776

If $1500 is your buying point, I wouldn't call that budget glass. Anyway, I'd also take a look at the Bushnell Extreme Tactical DMRG2. You can pick one up used for $900-$1100.Originally posted by JesterEvery time you see the fucking guy....show him your fucking dick.. Just whip out your hawg and wiggle it in his direction, put it away, call him a fuckin meatgazer, shoot him the bird and go inside.

Not counting glass, I bet you would spend less than half of what the ruger costs putting a decent stock and barrel on the remington. From that point I would like to see what rifle comes out on top and by how much. Only then would I be able to make my decision. I do like the mag flexibility of the ruger but 700s are just cool!"It's another burrito, it's a cold Lone Star in my hand!"
