And if I had tasted it, I wouldn't have asked. Also dove hunting only goes back to the 1800s. So saying that people have always, and will always dove hunt, is in the very least a stretch.

We've been eating dove for thousands of years. It was one of the first animals we domesticated. People have been hunting in Texas since the 1800's because Texas as a state has only existed that long.

I hunt south zone around Kennedy and it's been great the last few years.

I was at the La Madeleines by SMU grabbing up pigeons late one morning this past fall and some lady FREAKED THE FUCK OUT when she saw me rip the head off of one and she called the police. The police looked at me like I had two heads when I explained that I intended to eat the birds. They thought that I was homeless until I pointed out the car I drove up in.
Magnus, I am your father. You need to ask your mother about a man named Calvin Klein.

Bird hunting in general has only been done en mass since the advent of effective fowling pieces. Did you seriously expect folks to use a bow and arrow for dove? How about a musket?

You have to have the written permission of the landowners to take game on private property that isn't yours. They could have jammed you up.

Groupe Le Duff's CEO owns a home here and is a client of mine; I have permission.

Edit: Rock pigeons are not considered a game animal in this state.

Game animal or not land owner permission is still required as well as a hunting license.

                          Of which I have both.......

Has it occurred to you that they have such a huge problem with pigeons there that they pay to remove them?

Sure but there are easier ways to effectively do it.

But they are not nearly as fun.

If you're talking about the Mockingbird location by SMU, they don't own that. They own very little of the real estate they're sitting on.
