That's a beef I have with the multi-state...it's limited:
Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Dakota, Tennessee, Utah, Virginia and Washington. Multi-State Protection is subject to the limitations and exclusions provided herein.

And the bond/expert witness coverage...you still pay nearly for everything. So I don't understand the point of paying extra for it:
With respect to the Bail program, Members shall be responsible for all other requirements to obtain such a bond from a licensed bondsman, including collateral, guarantors, overages etc. The Bail program is not an offer for Texas Law Shield or the program attorney to act as surety for the Member and Member hereby affirmatively agrees that this is not a surety agreement of any sort. With respect to the Expert Witness program, if the program attorney determines a necessity for an expert witness, Legal Service Contract Holder shall be provided with an expert who has agreed to TLS’ standard terms of engagement in the area of reasonableness and justification of the use of force or deadly force under the law. Legal Service Contract Holder may at all times employ any other expert witnesses, different than any provided under this contract, however, Legal Service Contract Holder shall be responsible for all fees, costs and expenses of any different expert witnesses and shall receive no reimbursement under this contract.

Yeah, they're not really clear, are they? And potentially misleading. I may email them about that discrepancy, though as I said, all of the states I travel to with my weapon are covered, so I should be good, personally..

Don't ever let the cops interrogate you if you have to shoot. All you say was there was a shooting and you feared for your life. Always ask for a lawyer because you will be going to court multiple times. Your fate after an incident like that is much better off in the hands of educated people. Detectives and the DA will use everything you say against you and warp it to the best of their ability.

I carry a gun everyday. Even with a lawyer in the family using my gun in a self defense situation will cost about 50k unless its a home invasion or you played hero and saved countless witnesses and have video evidence.

If you kill someone legally, it will generally be a grand jury referral, just like the police get. Another reason we get bashed but it works the same was for everyone else. The cop haters get mad because someone gets charged with murder and goes to trial for it not a GJ, but ultimately it was because Jo Jo shot Little John over a argument about Mary Jane, or a parking spot. Straight up Murder, with out any defense to the prosecution. Yes I know there are exceptions, but hey each state and DA are different.

Yep I know the system is supposed to work. It should! My dad has been a been a big cooperate litigation attorney for 40 years, my uncle was in legislative politics, and my boss was a judge and senator. I have a family full of cops, DPS, medics, docotors, high ranking military ( highest is colonel) and just through first hand experience have seen how corrupt it is from a very young age and how most things are botched up or controlled by money.

All I know is to stay out of trouble and keep low on the radar the way things are today. When you are in the system, it is very hard to get back out. It is designed to keep you in.

Even if you have lawyers on retainer, you're still going to get hit with huge court costs.
