    Glock 42 or 43?

    Looking for a new ccw, last one I had was an lcp, and I liked it in that I could stick it in my pocket with a desantis pocket holster. Didn't like the sights, and it was a tad too small for my hands. My recovery time between shots was just too long.

    Considering a glock 42 or 43. My bedside pistol is a 9mm, so my initial thought is that it would be nice to have the same caliber in my CCW. Just for the sake of simplicity.

    My concern is rather or not it is worth the extra $100. And is recoil difference between the 380 and the 9 going to be noticeable on a smaller pistol?

    I haven't shot a 43 yet, but do have a 42.
    From what I've seen, the 43 is a tad larger than the 42. Recoil will be a little more in the 43, but shouldn't be unmanageable.

      The 43 is a bit larger than the 42. Very easy to conceal. I would look at the LC9 or the SIG 938. I just bought a 938 and love it.

          I have a shield 9mm and a kahr cm9; the kahr is a tad smaller. Like them both, and they are both cheaper than the glock.

                I didn't want to wait for the glock 43 so I picked up a xd mod.2 with a 3inch barrel.

                The grip alone let me know I made the right choice when I finally was able to see the glock 43 in person.

                        I haven't considered the p938... Different ballpark in terms of price compared to others... I'll see about renting a p238 and a p938 just to consider all options.
