  • I think the s&w bodyguard is my new favorite ccw!

So i have never been a big .380 guy.........but damn this thing is easy to carry. I have a de santis pocket holster and it works great iwb. I have been carying it for a week now and i literally forget its there. I just hope 7 rounds of .380 is enough if i ever need it.

I was told at a gun show by a dealer that a .380 can most time be stopped by a jean jacket... lol
I DONT CARE TO TEST HIS THEORY.

I'm a fan of my wife's P238. We played with a Glock 42, but it was "meh" at best.

          That guy was an idiot.

In July of 2013, I picked up a little .380 pocket pistol (specifically a Taurus PT738 TCP), and I started researching what would be the most appropriate ammo to use with it. Turns out that pretty m…

Bodyguards are a cheap functional option, nothing more. They've got a JUNKY DAO trigger, though.

Friend just got one and had to send it in for ftf issues even with ball.

funny thing is he traded in a kel-tek pf9 i think that was always ftf as well. The dude can shoot so i know its the gun. Its just his luck.

Ive thought about getting one myself.

He actually just called smith ended up replacing the barrel and all is well.

Agree on the trigger. Its the worse dao iv ever shot. But...the gun is smaller than my hand, so i dont think a better trigger would make it shoot that much better. Lol.

As long as it goes bang and you actually carry it. Winner

Thats my thinking. I only carry doa, and they all kinda suck In one way or the other. The bodyguard does go bang.

You gotta have a flask in one of the jacket pockets.

My PF9 was pretty unreliable when I first bought it (used) at the Lewisville gun show but after a thorough cleaning and few hundred rounds thru it...its as reliable as any gun I've ever owned. I expected similar results from the P3-AT I picked up at a pawn shop a few months ago but to my surprise it functioned perfectly with every round I put thru it (over 100 rounds on first try). Never had an issue with my Shield 40. That bodyguard looks very similar in size to my little Kel-Tec P3-at...which is also so tiny that its easy to forget you even have it on you.
