  • UNT firearms auction

Apparently UNT got gunshy about its collection and is auctioning it off.

    Follow the link for more:
The County Office of History and Culture is trying to raise $118,000 to purchase 91 antique guns from the college.

It's not an auction. The county is trying to buy them outright. It's a fundraiser.

Fuck em. They are giving us a huge runaround on reserving a room for our free CHL class for students. Anti-gunners.

Non-functional? Where's the fun in that?

I would bet they don't have an FFL.

That totally ruins my plans for a small scale reenactment of a certain scene from Demolition Man.

Most are functional. A few have their firing pins removed and some are DEWATs.
Magnus, I am your father. You need to ask your mother about a man named Calvin Klein.

the way I understand it, is that UNT has more guns than what the county is going to buy, and those will goto auction. There is also the chance that the county doesnt come up with the money as well.

"The Denton County Office of History is reaching out to the community to help keep 91 antique guns in the area.

The University of North Texas Libraries system is planning to sell their archive of weapons including several hundred guns that were once a part of a museum on campus."
