    Those should be mine. I run 200gr through my Model 29 to keep it in good shape. As long as it isn't a regular diet of 300gr you should be fine. Unfortunately they are not built like tanks like the rugers.

      I've always been a fan of checkered target style grips, but for wood on S&W revolvers, I am sold on the Ahrends Retro Combats. They point very naturally for me and I shoot better groups with them on my 686 Plus than I did with the factory Hogues. They aren't checkered, but the finish is not slick at all and they don't move around in my hand.

      For people with bigger hands, they also make a Tactical finger groove model that a lot of folks like.

      I only wish they made grips for guns other than S&W.
