I'm surprised at the positive responses on the 92. I always thought gun guys considered them junk. I love the feel of it and I've always wanted one.

I did own a cheetah (smaller, .380 version) that was a real hunk of shit so I haven't considered another beretta since, but I may now.

It's not gun guys that don't like them it's us ex-military folks. And I will be 100% honest it isn't even a bad pistol, but it destroys magazines. They run great on new or fresh magazines. Once the magazine has been used a lot and reloaded often they start to stove pipe and FTF like a mofo. So how often do you think the mags get used and reused in the military? Well the training guns are over used.... so you go to the range to qualify. You get 3 mags for your M9. I guarantee two of them are going to be shit from over use and you are going to be dropping bullets on the ground and your score will suck as a result.

The Beretta is a lot like a larger version of the CZ75 just with shittier magazines. The CZ is smaller, lighter and more reliable and has pretty much the same feel to it.... so get a CZ and be happier.

Sure but both are all metal frame slim upper slide 9mms. Both also hold 14 to 17 rounds. Both also have a decocker or safety. While they are totally different designs both shoot fairly similar too due to their size, weight and caliber. I own a CZ but would never own a 92 after carrying them in the Navy. If you like the 92, you will love the CZ. The CZ also has better magazines, which is the achilles heel of the 92.

That's why we have Sig's and a CZ75P01 with a decocker. Thank goodness you can get both on a CZ. I still prefer SAO though.

Those exist, too. You should check out Cajun Gun Works. I've been drooling over their CZ-97.
