  • Wilson Beretta 92

After bybotie mentioned it on another thread I started drooling over this gun. I've never cared about the 92 before even after it was adopted by the armed forces. I've shot a few, both the Beretta and Taurus versions and although they were OK, I didn't care for the trigger (SA/DA) or the weight. But I stumbled across it again earlier in the week while looking up recoil springs for my 1911 on Wilson's website and started drooling again.

Wilson Combat has been the innovator in custom pistols, long guns, and accessories since 1977. Home of the Wilson Combat 1911, EDC X9, WCP320, and more!

Maybe it's me but it looks pretty damn sexy now to me now.

And I stumbled across it on YouTube by one of my favorite gun reviewers.

Not sure if I would buy one (due to the cost) but I could see myself owning one if I had the money. Discuss (or disgust, it's up to you).

Funny, I've been drooling over the Brigader for the last few weeks. Got pretty close to buying one after I saw it in the thread

The brigader is the only 92 that wc sells. All the guns you posted are just work they will do to your pistol if you send it to them

Let me rephrase the question. What's the difference between the Brigader an a regular 92? As far as what WC sells, the video posted was a Beretta that the guy sent in and had customized by them. He detailed the process of dealing with WC and he said the experience was first rate.

I'm no 9mm fan, but I love the 92. Prior to deployment we went through a special pistol course and fired between 400-600 rounds a day for about a week. I think my 92 had one malfunction. Damn impressive.

That being said, that one is sick!

The 92 is definitely one of my favorite pistols. Smooth and accurate shooters.

Decocker only, and a slightly beefier slide, which helps with perceived recoil.

Mine will be in sometime towards the end of May. I'm pretty excited about it. 4 months is hard to wait, it must kill people who are 24 months out on a 1911 from them.

I qualified with the M9, and my qualification was the first time I had ever fired one. My only experience with the design prior to that was that I owned a Taurus 92AFD for a while. it is an inherently good design, and incredibly easy to shoot well. When I'm choo$$$ choo$$$ rich, I'd like to get a Brigadier.
