  • Gun Range in Midolothian?

I had to go to the Best Buy in Mansfield last week and as I was going up 287 I saw a gun range to the side of the highway. Anyway been there yet? Here's the URL to their website.

Actually their website says it's allowed.

From what I'm reading, looks like you have to be a member but it's only $10 annually and $15 a visit. Not bad IMO. Just not sure what the facilities are like though which is why I was posting. I don't go to the range that often but when I do go I don't like it to be to crowded which is another reason why I'm asking if anyone has been there to see what it's like on weekends.

I looked into it just before it was open. Maybe they had a change of heart.

              I was out there yesterday

They allow all ammunition but tracers.

It was not crowded, but that may have been a result of the weather.

does not seem like the safest place for a range I would not go.

Ya, I pass by it all the time and think the same.

Unsafe for surrounding properties or shooters at the range?

It's right next to the highway- like a rock throw away.

Are you guys concerned about a car going off the highway and into the gun range or what? Safe for shooters or cars driving by? I guess I'm not clear on why you guys would think it's not safe if it's been setup properly and the city or whatever government entity inspected it.

based on the one tiny picture I would be uncomfortable with people behind me shooting. Even though there is a partial concrete barrier between the ranges

I would not want to be at the range when some idiot has a accidental discharge and hits a car on the highway or something.
