  • local gun store with s&w large frame revolvers

Who has a decent selection of large framed .357 revolvers (4" barrel is preferred. Wanting to buy tomorrow).

  • #2
The L-frame guns you want are medium frame. N-frame is the large frame, which would be 27/627 guns.

Do gun broker unless its a purchase you have to have the same day. No tax and usually cheap 2 day shipping.

They used to make N frame 357 and those are nice shooting pistols.

                    S&W still makes N-frame .357's. Hell, I'd love to have a new 27.

It seems like Smith .357s are hard to find in stock these days. I had my buddy at a little gun shop look into ordering me a 686 Plus and he said they are already allocated at all the national wholesalers he looked at.
Atlantic Blue '00 - '03 Cobra motor and TKO600, solid axle, full MM suspension
                      Silver '01 Vette - D1 blown LS

I've got the performance center 686+ on the shelf.

Dicks sporting goods has a 686 4" ($799) and a 6" ($849)... Plus a gp100 match champion ($699). They also had a Taurus 66 6" on sale for $499. That just seems really high... Neither the S&W or Ruger were 7 shot. Only the Taurus. Continue my search for used I guess.

Fort Worth gun show had a lot of them.
"Laws that forbid the carrying of arms...disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes...Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man." - Thomas Jefferson, 1776
