I'm willing to shoot just about anything just about any damn time. My opinion of such firearms are pretty damn direct and upfront too. I have a large variety of makes and models, but I have a strong preference for reliability over all else.

And I'm going to be upfront and honest and say there is a reason I allow my wife to carry a CZ compact. Sure it's an archaic design with a hammer. Sure it's a bit more expensive than many on DFWM's want to spend on a carry gun. All that said it is one of the most reliable and dependable handgun designs of all time and often copied for that reason.

I rarely consider price in the purchase of a firearm. I think in terms of reliablity, caliber, capacity, concealability (if it's a CC item) and possibly cool factor or how much I want it.

You guys get all pissy when someone calls out your carry gun of choice, but I'm going to be honest way too many of you guys are worried about cost. How much is your life worth to you? Can you put a price of $100 on your own head? Then why bitch about paying $100 more for a firearm? I just don't get it.

Ok so Alex can you tell me why an $800 dollar Sig is better than my "junk" PF9 or Shield 40...which both carry and shoot flawlessly?
I guess I just get a bit insulted when a lot of guys try to force the idea on me that you have to spend as much money as possible buying the most expensive overpriced "brand X,Y or Z" gun they sell...and that anything less than their opinion is junk.

It's a better gun, more solid, shoots better, completely reliable, much better single action trigger, and comes with night sights. The hammer or slide isn't going to snag on anything. Just the idea of the slide lock even possibly causing an issue is obviously a desperate grasp to find something, if anything, to be negative about, that's like saying a mag release button would cause a snag, which is far more likely given it's size and roughness. I must have pulled it out of my pocket several hundred times and have never experienced anything like that. I have two of them, neither has jammed. I've shot about 1000rds through mine, 500 rounds in a day, no cleaning, no jams. Pretty easy to hit clay pigeons from across the river with it, which I would guess is probably around 50 yards or so. I've had the polymer carry guns, they work, but it's just a different level of quality you're getting. When it comes to quality, the 938 is the best from what I've personally fired. It's so much better of a gun, and such a leap forward in pocket gun quality I renders all other ones irrelevant in my eyes. If you can't afford it, sure a shield or pf9 is nice, and I'm sure they will work fine. The problem I see with your immediate knee jerk reply is you dismiss it as overpriced immediately. Just because it costs more doesn't mean it isn't worth the money.

There are some cool guns out there but companies need to sell new guns to stay open so we buy them.

Id buy a 938 if it was in the budget hell I carried a kimber pro cdpII for a few years. Never had a hickup with it.
