    My new long range rig!

    Well, the stars aligned and I found this on THF and immediately messaged the seller that I wanted it. Brand New in box with EGW 20moa base already installed for about $300 less than I could have bought it in a store (if I could have found one)...

    Savage 12 Long Range Precision in 6.5 Creedmoor with HS Precision Stock. 26" heavy profile barrel, target accutrigger (Which is adjustable down to 6oz). Just need a scope and bipod and I'll be set. Have 100 rounds of 120gr Hornady AMAX ammo to get me started. Picked up some hornady dies yesterday...On to the Pics...

          I've seen too many optics used but in great shape to want to pay retail cost any more.

                  Reviving a old thread here, how to you like the gun. Been looking at a creedmoor in the LRP or the predator. Leaning towards the predator due to weight.

                        I have a couple of 700's I am going to unload and pick one up.I thought about building off of one , but for the $ it takes to get a Remington to shoot I can have a Savage for 1/2 .Plus I called and left messages for S and S precision and nobody will return a call. With the Savage , hell I can do most of the work myself.

                          I love the rifle, even though I haven't gotten a chance to hit the range yet. Between the weather and shit needing to get done around the house, just haven't had time yet.

                          I bought this knowing I would not be carrying it around or hunting with it, strictly a long range target rig from the bench or prone. It is heavy and very long (49" total length).

                          If you have any plans to carry your rifle on a sling and hunt with it, definitely go for the predator. Thinner bull barrel and shorter overall length.
