<--- goes to search classified for $1,000 guns reduced to $900..."Laws that forbid the carrying of arms...disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes...Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man." - Thomas Jefferson, 1776

There are some people out there without scruples.
About 4 weeks ago I drove to Austin to buy an unfired Python. The seller said that they had a letter from Colt authenticating the serial number, the original sales receipt, and factory box. The letter was bogus, the box was not for that gun, the "Original receipt" was a blatant forgery and the finish on the gun looked "off" so I told the seller that I was going to have to pass on the deal. I contacted Colt with the serial number and when they got back with me they said that the gun was not a Python at all. The seller was trying to pass off a Trooper that had a Python barrel put onto it as an unfired late 1960's Python. I contacted the seller with the information and was told to go fuck myself and that it was a real Python no matter what Colt said.Magnus, I am your father. You need to ask your mother about a man named Calvin Klein.

Never heard back from him. 3 hours later I head into the office and text him back saying I appreciated his time and that I was no longer interested. He text me back fairly quickly apologizing that he's been really busy and he's sorry he couldn't respond back in a timely manner.
What gets me is that I offered to go pick it up from him if he would knock off $50 for my time and trouble and that's when he said he'd have to think about it. Oh well, guess I'm going to buy a gun safe sooner than later.
Guns sales FTF should go as smooth as what you and I did.............Hey I want your gun...........ok, I will meet you tomorrow at 5pm, see ya there. Both parties show up---buyer likes what he sees, hands over money--- done.

Almost glad it didn't work out as I was having a little bit of trouble stomaching buying a ".22" for that much money. Guess I'm buying some goodies for my 10/22Whos your Daddy?
