Finally got my HK45C... I was surprised that I received one of the German built rather than a US built pistol which is nice. Definitely the best polymer gun I've ever shot and I'm looking forward to putting many rounds through it.

My only complaints are the stock sights, which really suck, and will be replaced by some Heinie night sights ASAP. The DAO trigger pull is a little rough, but the SAO trigger pull isn't bad and I will keep it cocked and locked anyways. There are several smiths that do some really nice work on HK's so that may be a future upgrade.

I think you mean DA/SA.

The O in SAO or DAO stands for only, meaning that it won't function both ways.

Now Colt makes a fine gun, but I believe HK makes the finest modern weapons on the planet. All Colt makes are 1911s, single action armys, and ar15s. Hk makes fancy new stuff and is a completely different type of company.

That being said, I have always been an HK nutjob, just check the gun porn thread!

Compared to the XD45 it is definitely much slimmer, but it is 8+1 compared to 13+1. The ergos are a much better fit for me.

It's definitely not a bargain, but it fits so well for me that I think it is worth the $$, not to mention the quality and reliability.
