    The .17 HRM or Hornady Magnum Rimfire is a tiny varmint round that is so small that it is said to explode on contact sparing the surrounding livestock. This makes it a great farm rifle, and an even better fun rifle. This mini bullet is lightweight and because of this is easily effected by the external forces of nature.


    I have thought about buying something in .17hmr just because ammo is plentiful.

      I did a quick slickguns search, I did not know .17hmr were so high per round... over 20cents a round.

        Loved my Savage 93R17BV when I had it but it's not a caliber really made for shooting in anything over 7mph winds. With the gusts we have around here, rounds get thrown around too much for my liking.
