  • Colt LE6920 at Walmart

Any idea what they are running and where they are available? I know I've seen them at a few Walmarts whenever I've gone on trips out of town but it's been a while. I sold my AR a couple of years back and i've been leaning towards this one and wanted to start comparing prices both "locally" and online.

For Walmart pricing / availability hit up one of via phone:

Mesquite Walmart store on 80 & Beltline
Plano Walmart on Central & Spring Creek
    Terrell Tx Walmart
    Rockwall Walmart I-30

Gunbroker has several no reserve auctions if you want to watch those.

If you dont mind a variance on model:

    $799

    $826 - "Match Trigger"
Whether you are looking for a reliable gun dealer online or outdoor sporting goods, as a leading gun store in Washington State we offer everything you might need under one roof.

    $699.89 "free promag 5 pack"

      That's not a bad price
You can build them cheaper and I'm sure cheaper than mine.
I've got $565 in mine but it took forever since I started last year when things were crazy and scarce.

You can't build an LE6920 for that.

Thanks mustang_revival for the leads. At this point I was getting some general information and this weekend I'll make some calls to some Walmart's to get a better idea of pricing and availability. I tried looking it up online through Walmart's website but it only seemed to work half the time.

95DRGT, I'm sure I could build an AR cheaper but as Yale mentioned, it wouldn't have the same specs as this particular model. I can't remember the specifics but from what I remember, it's as close to mil-spec M4 as you can get with the exception of it being semi-auto only.

Walmart had that Black Friday 20% off all guns sale, so I bet most of their stock has dried up.

One thing to remember when comparing a self build to the Colt is the chrome lined barrel. You can get a chrome lined barrel for your home build too, but it adds to the cost. The Colts are simply a huge bargain right now especially with the Magpul furniture. I've added a Troy rear sight to mine a sling, and a Burris AR 332. I laser bore sighted it last night; time to head to the range with it. I did shoot it on irons at the range after I got it. Colt also properly lubes everything. You can shoot it right out of the box. Not all AR bolts are lubed from the vendor which has caused issues for some people.

just bought that exact same model from Walmart. It was 1097 before the 20% last weekend so I got out the door at $950. I have not had a chance to shoot it yet but I am looking forward to it.

So I finally started looking into this yesterday and found Bud's to be the cheapest price for the Magpul Edition LE6920 at $864 cash. I called Walmart and they were asking $957 which I believe was for the regular LE6920 and CDNN was asking $959. With free shipping and no taxes, buying from Bud's is a no brainer.

I've never bought from Bud's (or anyone else online for that matter) before, how does this work out? I make arrangements with an FFL to handle it and contact Bud's to get a purchase order and pay them?

During the checkout process, it gives you a drop down of popular FFLs. If your desired FFL is not there, you give the name address and phone number. They give you their fax number.

Then call your FFL, tell them you bought a gun from buds to be shipped to them. They will fax Buds a copy of their FFL paperwork to begin the process of getting it shipped to you.

Your FFL will call you when the gun arrives, you go there and get your back ground checks, pay any fees and your on your way.

Well I screwed up and instead of taking care of this sooner I waited to long. I looked again last night and Bud's no longer has it listed at that price so I might start looking again for a better price. I don't know. I'm pretty patient so I think it will be worth the worth finding a better deal and I'll start looking through the broker sites and message boards to see what I find.

Thanks for sharing that and if I don't find anything I may just hit them up. But I keep thinking the $70 odd dollars on taxes could go towards ammo or something Plus I'm leaning towards the Magpul Edition in something other than black.

Thanks for the info. I'm going to assume it works the same way through Gun Broker if I win an auction there.

I'm in the Oak Clff/Duncanville area so its' a little bit of a distance between us. I'm going to use likeitfast55. I've dealt with him a couple of times already and he's near my office so I'm not having to drive to far out of my way. But I appreciate the offer!

The guys at grab a gun are great. Ask them if they will throw something in to cover that extra tax money. I be they'll help.
