so i bought a windham weaponry src 5.56/223 for black friday as kind of an impulse buy. I'd spent most of my time drooling over larue OBR's but i got a good deal on the scr. since then i bought another 5 magpul 30rd mags for 8 bucks apiece, mbus pro sights and a sling. now i just need a good optic and im set. so much for spending money on my cars/motorcycle. lol

I hear ya. Heck I ordered a Troy rear sight in FDE for my Colt just because I think the Magpul MBUS being plastic isn't all that. I'm slapping a cheap Burris AR prismatic red dot on it, until I spring for a 1.5K ACOG with fast fire type red dot on it.... in FDE too.

the mbus pro are steel sights. i got steel because the front sight sits on the gas block and the regular mbus poly sights will melt. yeah i think im going to go with vortex for the red dot and magnifier. im not going into combat or anything so i dont see why i need a expensive ass red dot. actually, my big plan is to spend a grand or two on a nice night vision scope after christmas. then the AR will be pretty much done and ill move onto another handgun. im thinking a 1911 or maybe a 5.25 xdm
