Without my gun hobby. I would cut off my own dick and let the rats eat it...

It all starts with one gun.. Next thing you know you spent well over 100 grand.

That's no shit. First the hobby is exciting, then it grows, then you grow apathetic, then you step back and ask "why". Did it with hot rods, getting there with guns

            Some advice:

DO NOT GO TO A MACHINE GUN SHOOT. DO NOT FIRE A MACHINE GUN.

            1. First you buy a suppressor for your pistol. Kinda confusing, a lot of questions, but it is so cool. Everyone at work knows you are getting it. You call and check status at BATFE every month, it is still pending. Stamp comes in, yay!
            2. Then you buy one for a .22, Sheriff is a nice guy so what the heck, get another one.
            3. You live in a free state and you think, this is easy and kinda cool. You want a machine gun so you buy a MAC 10.
            4. You buy another suppressor for the MAC 10.
            5. You start reading www.UziTalk.com and start buying Lage uppers to slow down the rate of fire.
            6. You go to a Subguns match and shoot a bunch of Subguns. You want a Uzi, Sterling, Swedish K, and MP5 and a belt fed.
            7. You start thinking seriously about getting a SOT license.
            8. You start reading www.subguns.com and Sturmgewehr.com daily looking for a deal.
            9. You read www.subguns.com and Sturmgewehr.com when you wake up, at lunch, during your mother- in- laws funeral, and at bedtime looking for a deal.
            10. You forget to pick up your daughter at dance because you are on the phone buying a great deal. another case of ammo shows up via UPS, wife is a bit pissed and suggests you " cut back some". You don't hear her because you are reading www.hktalk.net NFA forum.
            11. You buy an Uzi AND a Sterling. You are so excited so you buy a Fort Knox safe for $4000 to keep your toys in. You start answering questions on the internet gun boards about your experiences with NFA toys.
            12. You spend your wife's anniversary present gift money at Long Mountain Outfitters on Volumes 1-5 of Dolf Goldsmith's history of the Browning Machine gun.
            13. You are watching You-tube videos on how to set headspace and timing on a 1919 belt fed that you do not own --yet. Video was recommended on www.beltfed.com. You begin buying 250 round cloth belts for a gun you don't own,-- yet.
            14. A six month wait for a stamp no longer freaks you out. Sending a certified check to a stranger for over $15,000 for a 25+ year old gun does not worry you, well just a little. You buy a third safe. Any of these and your addiction officially has no cure at this point.
            15. One day you realize you have 44 tax stamps and start warning others DO NOT BUY A SUPPRESSOR and DO NOT GO TO A machine gun shoot.

i think you forgot on that list that you randomly walk around with a flak jacket and vietnam era brain bucket. lol.

really dont care about suppressors or owning 15k 50 cals, even tho i would love to pitch in on some ammo and get to shoot that bad boy sometime.

edit: but i would need a heli gunner helmet and ride of the valkries blaring.

picked up a holo red dot with a laser today. going shooting/hog hunting for the weekend tmrw and im excited to see how it goes. The sight is a sightmark ultra pro with integrated laser and im really impressed with the optic. obviously not a battle tested eotech but also way, way cheaper.

You can find the adaptor here; you supply your own saws all. It is great fun if you can find a gal who can handle it.

This should be a poster.... I read this to my wife and she was laughing almost as loudly as I was. Sadly I've been contemplating setting up a gun trust and buying NFA items.

I can't keep reading thread title without saying something. "Fuck guns are addicting" or "fuck, guns are addicting". Little misleading . Anywho this site kinda influenced me to arm up too. CJs grin after shooting some giant modded out rifle with Alex pushed me to pick up my first decent pistol. I could tell i was missing something in life haha. Picked up a Ruger 9mm the next day from a debt owed. He still owes, so I may have to continue disarming him and make it to a shooting gtg. I wanna big grin too dammit !
The Ruger is an upgrade from the Lorsen .380 I have. That pistols better off being used to bludgeon baby seals than shooting.

well i put 200 rds thru my WW AR, and i fucking love it. accurate as hell, and smooth to shoot. love this gun, even though i think its a little underpowered for hogs. I'm gonna save my pennies for a CMMG MK47 and use the WW for just fun shooting and maybe 3 gun if i can find some comps to enter next year. the red dot worked flawlessly out to 50 yrds. past that the "dot" pretty much covered the whole target but it was still accurate out to 100yds. definitely could have used a 3x magnifier. ended up putting a nikon prostaff scope on that my dad gave me and its dead on accurate at 100 yrds. Good times. I need to stockpile on ammo. LOL
