    I know a guy here that should chime in soon or I can mill the end of it off. That's really your only option if you want it to look good. Using a lathe for that is a bad idea. You are going to have an interrupted cut because of the rail and it could cause you issues. Also you can't run a steady or follow rest because of the profile of the hand guard. Not to mention you will really need it supported to get a nice finish on it. Depending on how much you want off the end I would saw cut it and then finish mill it or if it does not need much just mill it all off. PM me if you need a hand.

      I would just stick in a miter saw, cut it off and then clean it up on a belt sander, then blast and re-anodize.

        I'm gonna try this. I have to make the run to silencer shop anyways for my octane, I'll see if they'll swap me for a standard FH. I still have my receipt from them. I'll see how much is needed after that.
