The reason I suggest the KAK buffer tube and Sig brace is the KAK is build for the Sig brace and is actually longer with spacers provided. I should be able to get the same length of pull from it as I am my AR15 I have.
This is the entire kit but you can get just the buffer tube and spacers, or whatever combo you want. They have several levels of kits to choose from.

What are the best options if I just want the buffer tube without the Sig brace and all that? I dont mind the sig brace but dont care to pay for it since its almost as much as the tax stamp, but I would like to have this rifle up and running asap.
Also how is the reliability with hypersonic rounds? (no suppressor)
I have a sig brace and pistol tube if you want it. I will sell it for $80. The brace itself is like 130 plus the tube. I used it twice while waiting on my form 1.

To help stop any intent thoughts, a lot of the pistol buffer tubes are larger and/or missing the key way so that a stock will not fit on them.
Price is supposedly higher due to supply and demand

First thing before you buy a .300blk. Do you reload?
If there answer is no, don't buy a .300blk.
1) The shortest barrel length possible with a standard pistol length gas system is 6". I have a 6" barrel on mine, it was a 9.5". Barrel length is irrelevant if you're shooting suppressed and it can even hurt accuracy the longer you make it. Remember, most .30 cal suppressors are 9" long, so 9+9.5"=18.5" barrel. The shorter you go the better in nearly every area. It's more accurate, smaller, and lighter.
2) If you drop below a 9.5" barrel you need to go to a 1:7 twist. At 9.5" and longer 1:8 is fine.
3) Brands don't matter because 90% of all manufacturers use the same blanks. Just make sure they know how to machine it. Pistol length gas systems are non-standard. Meaning there is no predefined exact specifications for where and how to cut the gas port, and the shelf. I ran into this problem when trying to do a piston setup on my M16. For DI it really doesn't matter.
4) get a pistol length gas system only.
5) I prefer light profile barrels, especially if you're shooting it as subsonic only. There is substantially less harmonics subsonic, especially if you have a titanium suppressor. There is an opportunity to save a lot of weight.Last edited by CJ; 12-09-2014, 09:21 PM."When the people find that they can vote themselves money, that will herald the end of the republic." -Benjamin Franklin
