My son(9 yr old) wants an ar15 for Christmas. Anyone have any experience with the diamondback brand? Ive heard the pistols are okay but curious about the rifles. He's already getting some more expensive stuff so i dont want to spend more than 4-500 on a rifle.

I have a DB15. No issues at all.
I bought it as a pistol with 7.5" barrel. Now it is a SBR with 2 uppers. .223 and .300 BO.
