Curious what this gun is worth. Have a acquaintance selling it and was curious if its a fair price

The optic is worth almost as much as the gun. Those rifles can be had brand new for $600 or less on sale, and the optic is about $500. Add some flip up sights, an extra mag and 200 rounds. Those delta ring type quad rails can be as cheap as $20.
Depending on what kind of ammo it is, he probably has in the neighborhood of $1200+ in it. It's an entry level AR, but with the sight I'd say $900 or so if it's in perfect shape.

thats what i was gonna say. those things have a crap ton of cheap knockoffs floating around. that said, i wish i could tell you how to spot the fakes. im sure someone on here can tell you though.

Go get a S&W. They actually harden trigger parts, and put rifling in barrels. Or hold out for the new DI gun from Ruger.
