I'm all for it passing because its one more bill aimed at LESS gun control...but I myself have no need or desire to open carry and make myself a target not only for the unlikely "being the first target of some psycho wanting to kill people" idea...but more realistically......a LOT of people will flip out at the sight of a gun in most places in Texas which will result in a LOT of dumb police calls for no reason...I don't wish to be harassed and questioned by law enforcement for not doing anything illegal because some people can't handle seeing the sight of a gun on a law abiding person.

Don't worry, they will stop showing up to those calls after about 500 of them.

From what I understand doucheberg bought all the air time in wa and the gun lobby wasnt able to get any commercials on tv. True or not all it takes is some outsider rallying the dems, hippies, and anti gunners to the polling stations. With a well run ad campaign he could even get 2a advocates to vote against it.

I also dont think as many people will vote for it as you think. There is a head in the sand view, they dont want to know the guns are out there (think of the children). There is also the 2a advocates that believe that there is no reason to carry a pistol in todays society

Major mistake made by this guy and I'll chalk it up to inexperience and being young. It was 2:30am and someone walked up to him on the street. Red light! This guy probably would have been robbed regardless if he was open carrying or not. But certainly open carrying I'm thinking he was targeted.

See, this is how I know that story is bullshit. Felons and criminals only get their guns from gun shows and face-to-face sales with legitimate gun owners. He would have been denied the transfer when he filled out his paperwork at the FFL's office. Hopefully, Oregon will adopt the new laws Washington approved of and that would have stopped this instance in it's tracks!
