Took the AK to Eagle gun range Lewisville finally

It makes sense for the cast bullet guys, and the ones that load light small game loads in with .32acp bullets. Really though, you'd be better off with a CZ-527, if that's what the goal was.

I'm currently torn between a CZ-527 and a Ruger Scout 308 as my bolt rifle..... The CZ is lighter and shoots a pretty decent round for most NA game.

I just put the midwest industries scope mount on my AK with a Primary Arms 2.5X prismatic. I can't wait to take it to the range to see what it will do regularly at 50 to 100 yards. I may actually start reloading 7.62x39 too of all the really crazy things to do since that stuff is cheap.

It's not going to out shoot an AR, don't get your hopes up.

I definitely know that. Heck but it is good enough to keep around that's for sure. I can see the allure of them after getting one. They aren't total POS's like some AR fans will tell you.

I'm trying to figure out which scope I want for my Colt AR... I'm thinking go all out and get an ACOG.

I have an AK in just about every flavor, most all are the same. The only ones that are truly higher quality are the Yugos imho.

for a small amount more you can just get an ar in x39
it's just an opinion i guess, but i think semi auto will come in handy for hogs
plus an ar would hardly weigh any more in 16" barrel
i just can't see any need for longer than 16" barrel for x39, that will still only get you out to about 250yrds easily before drop starts to get significant.

I suppose if you are shooting 150 SP's at 2200fps out of a 20" barrel you might be able to get to 300yrds, whoopie.

I have a 16" 5.56 AR and a 16" 6.8 rem SPC AR. I don't really want another AR unless it's 308. I also have an M1A. I'm looking for a bolt gun really and something light to tromp off through the brush with.

So you can shoot FMJ at Lewisville? Is steel core allowed? I haven't got to fire off my 5.45x39 AK and AR in a long time!

Are they NFA friendly? I've been wanting to shoot some rounds through my suppressor and my Zastava SBR

Pretty sure eagle doesnt like full auto (or even rapid shots)

They sell suppressors, so I dont think that's a problem. dont see why they would have problems with an sbr either

So when they say "Armor Piercing" I imagine they wouldn't like the Russian Surplus I have as it is now banninated by ATF and can kill little children and puppies.
