    Two things you need when the SHTF.....

    All the time everywhere I go and everyone I meet has firearms and bullets. Some even have cases, high dollar optics, lights, lasers, and reloading equipment.......

    But to this day I'm utterly shocked how many people don't have holsters for their pistols or slings for their rifles. These items are cheap compared to many things and they are MUST haves. If you don't have a sling for every rifle and a holster for every pistol (this one I need to work on, but I'm 100% on slings), you are doing yourself a disservice.

    Discuss if you like, or not....

    I may not have a holster specifically for each gun, but I have holsters that will accommodate several different pistols. Can only carry so many guns before mobility and stamina become an issue.
    All my rifles have slings though...

      I'm accustom to slings on rifles. To me it is not complete without it.

      Holsters...I just buy cheapies.

        Agreed. Everything I have has a sling on it.

        Also I laugh at "preppers" who couldn't run a mile.

          The only long gun I have that doesn't have a sling has a soft case with a sling. I wouldn't be mobile with it in a SHTF scenario anyway.

            I agree with this. All my rifles except my .22s have slings, and I believe I have holsters for every pistol. Another you forgot is a way to carry ammo. Anyone in the modern day who has a gun and no ammo pouch/chest rig is the same a revolutionary soldier with a musket and no satchel.

                  This. If you've ever had to eat any variety of "rations", and then had no TP, you know the struggle is real. Hard to be combat effective with mudbutt.

                            A sling can be improvised. I'm curious to how people plan on moving their thousands of rounds they have stockpiled.
