Domestic violence disqualifies you from BUYING a gun. After the conviction.................ummm different situation altogether. Yes, and surrendering to a gun range? WTF is that about. Does Roberto own said range?

I sold a gun to a gentleman, NICS check went fine-----------disposed of the gun to the guy. 5 days later the FBI called about the gun and the guy. Long story short, he had a pot conviction 31 years ago, yes 31 years, while he was in college. He had three choices, surrender the gun to the FBI, turn it in back to me(with money back--I said no to this), or transfer ownership to his wife, making her the gun owner. He did this. She had to sign a statement that he could not take the gun out of the house without her!

Absurd that a conviction for a law that is no longer in effect still holds the individual accountable for life. I know a guy that was telling me about how harsh the marijuana laws used to be back in the day, so that if you were caught with even the smallest amount of weed it was a felony. He had a few friends who 30-40yrs later still can't own a gun because of getting caught with a joint.

This guy was caught with just over 1oz. Back then over 1oz was intent to distribute-felony.

That was the only time he was in trouble his whole life. College grad,advanced degree, and a major airline captian now! Amazing.
