Another shitty thing is that the owner acts as somewhat a liaison for owners and the ATF in meetings etc.

And the update to my Cashier's being issued today is......

The office manager isn't on the business account and can't authorize the bank to draft a certified check...
Although she guaranteed me it would go out today.
      Imagine that..
It happens to be a well thought out and reasoned dissertation on drug use and a lyrical cost/benefit analysis of various kinds of drugs, drawing the conclusion that beer is the best of them all.

This is actually kind of funny...

I know many of you have noticed some changes these past few weeks. The Carrollton store did in fact close for good. The store was not making enough to cover rent , so in order to not loose any more money, it was with a heavy heart that it had to be closed. Because of this many of you have questions about getting your suppressors when the tax stamp is approved.
Once the approved tax stamp is in, I will then email you some forms to fill out to include (2) 4473's, a notarized identification form and a sworn statement by transferee that has your local sheriffs info. The law requires Silenced America to notify your Chief Law Enforcement Officer, which in Texas, that is your sheriff. The sheriff has ZERO SAY SO on whether or not the transfer can take place. After you fill out the paperwork and have them notarized, you will need to send a copy to me. As soon as I receive the paperwork, I will then send a copy to your sheriff with a return receipt. As soon as I receive the return receipt, I am then able to send the item(s) to your home. You may also skip this step and come to Amarillo to pick up your item(s) instead. There is talk about coming to the Dallas area for gun shows to do transfers as well. We will update you when we will be going there.
A big issue I want to address is the paperwork issue we are having.
From May to about July. I sent hundreds of forms to the ATF for our customers suppressors or SBR orders. I am sure most of you noticed that they are not showing up in their system. I can guarantee that I did over 70,000 dollars worth of checks for the ATF tax stamps. Everything has been cashed but they are putting a hold on all of the paperwork. I, along with others have called and were told that they will get to the bottom of it and will start working on the forms ASAP.
I will be contacting them again to get an answer on a timeline when everyone can start seeing their items in the system. I too have been just as frustrated as every single one of you.
Please do not give up on us, we will continue to work very hard for our customers and we will get this taken care of as quickly as we possibly can.
If you have any other questions, please feel free to contact us at

Thank you for your time in reading this and we wish you a great day,

This is their facebook post 3 hours ago. Note the bold part... Try for the past two years!!

I purchased my can from them January 2013. I just got the stamp earlier this month after a myriad of excuses, that all go back to blaming the BATFE. I don't know why it's so hard to comprehend that if you are having this many issues in your business, perhaps it's not others that are at fault.

I've got tons of emails back and forth with Scott on why it's the ATF's fault, but none of it really matters anymore. I've ordered my other cans from www.marksgunworks.com - a local guy in Frisco. I bought them from him in October of last year. From the time I bought them, the checks were cashed inside of 10 days and was in the system within the following week (iirc). Stamps were received within 10mos of ordering.

With Silenced America, the checks were never cashed. I wrote additional checks to Scott at SA and mailed them directly to him - which were never cashed. Never received.... Nothing.

I swear there is a postal vortex surrounding his building. It's no surprise they didn't make enough to cover rent.... word of mouth killed him.

Don't trust anyone to do your forms. Time and time again I see forms done by supposed experts being filled out incorrectly. If you want it done right do it yourself.

Did they close themselves or the ATF shut them down?

Chose to close on their own from what it sounds like. They had an audit on Friday, so who knows.

If they had an audit on Friday and now they're closed... sounds like it was close or be closed

Any idea why they were audited?

They posted this morning that the clusterfck of an operation was their mismanagement with eforms etc. Seems that the audit may address the issues they alleged. Says however they are surrendering their licenses to expedite any pending transfers.

The ATF's mismanagement of eforms or the store's?
Fuck you. We're going to Costco.

My take is they tried to place blame on both sides.
