They sell self adhesive heavy duty velcro strips at Home Depot, walmart, etc. I'm sure they'll still require glue since I don't believe the self adhesive shit works. They come in 4ft long 2" rolls.

Actually found a pic on my phone. This is on a 99 tahoe, I used a maxpedition universal holster that has a velcro back. I glued a seperate piece of square velcro inside the console with e6000; this made the holster removable and fully adjustable to whatever gun I want. The holster is removable, however the velcro is not coming off. Total cost about $20.

Mounted on the door it would be, though awkward for a right hand draw. Believe in Texas it must not be visible by someone looking in the window, which typically tbe door mount would fit.
