  • Center Console Holster

Anyone know of a company or ideas for mounting a holster to the center console of a truck? Gun sliding around gets a little annoying.

I have one I made that cost about $20. I will see if I can upload pics when I get back in town this weekend.

Actually found a pic on my phone. This is on a 99 tahoe, I used a maxpedition universal holster that has a velcro back. I glued a seperate piece of square velcro inside the console with e6000; this made the holster removable and fully adjustable to whatever gun I want. The holster is removable, however the velcro is not coming off. Total cost about $20.

I have a in waste holster that has leather backing with belt loops. Left it out one day and dog chewed off a loop for the my belt. Was gonna rivet it to the inside of my console but haven't gotten to it.

I did see one at cabelas that would work really well. Was like $40 I think.

But I'd just he get a cheap sleeve and some washers and like CJ said. Rivet that bitch in place.

I have a Don Hume holster mounted in my center console. It connected to the clip with screws so I was able to just take the clip off, drill a couple of holes in my center console, and mount it that way. I have a pic of it I will post shortly.

That was for my P238 (that I sold) but I left the holster there since Leah still has one. We only really use it now for long distance trips. I now usually keep one of my extra mags for my XD40 in it, since it makes it more easily accessible.

I want to put another in there for my XD40 but haven't got around to it. I plan to use a Serpa holster for that, mounting it the same basic way, but will mount it with the ability to pivot since my XD is too long to sit in there vertically. The idea will be that I can pivot it vertical for holstering and un-holstering, then pivot it forward to close the lid.

In fact, maybe that's something I will do this weekend since I already have the holster. I will take pics and post them when I do.

The Serpa idea would be kind of like this one (same holster type), but in my center console. I will need to make a curved slot for the upper screws to allow it to pivot forward.
