The new 300 Outlander replaced those as the entry level.

Yeah but I would still prefer the others. I shot a 300 A the other day and it was nice but kinda odd. It seems like it's a bastard child between a Benelli m2 and a Baretta 390. It functioned fine but i know the 390/391 is reliable not sure these are 100% proven yet. Tgat being said the only 2 semi auto's I've never had fail are a FN built A5 and a 391 ureuka.

It's solid. It feels like a 400 without any frills.

Well I thought what I shot was a 300 but it was a a400 a well equipped one at that.

Those are bad as hell! They're heavier than the Benelli or Browning, but built like a tank.

I didn't care for it. The recoil reducing system was too soft. I hold a shotgun tighter against myself than most and it made it feel really weird. That being said it was very soft recoiling.

yup...I think I saw one online at budsguns that was closer to 2k. But dammit that gun is sweet.

A lot of the guys used to 1100's and Brownings don't like them because they feel too much vibration, because those recoil reduction systems are so long and articulated. There's more motion in the action than there is recoil, and it weirds them out at first.

I've shot a few guns with various recoil reducing systems that are similar in theory. They were primarily in o&u though being Berretta trap combo's, Pirazzi combo's and a custum Mach 1 handicap gun. The last was very loud but in operation but it didn't have a true stock around it.

Haven't really looked into Mossberg pricing so I don't know if this is a good deal or not but since you're looking for one....

It's maybe 4-5 yo, only used it one season for public hunting. easy 3in groups at 100yds. Bought it at Dick's Sporting, look it up for a better description. Probably 95%. Have never used the field barrel. $225.00 or trade for a youth 20ga semi or pump or a youth 243 (only). FTF in DFW area. Can text pics, PM me.

x2 , m3000 tho .. has the Benelli Inertia Driven action mechanism.

Recoil takes some getting used to.
