I've had my Glock 23 gen 4 for a little over a year, and I can't really say anything bad about it. I've got more than a few thousand rounds through it with no real problems. Recently, I've been tossing around the idea of switching over to 9mm for a few reasons: More rounds, faster follow up shots, and probie is a 9mm guy and we can split cost on projectiles and accumulate more brass.

The easy choice was a Glock 19, but I ran across an M&P9c that I ended up getting for half the price of a 19. So I figured I'd give it a shot. I've got some 9mm coming in on monday, so I should know by the end of next week if i'm going to hang on to it or sell it. It is definitely sexier than the glock, but the safety has to go asap. If I like the M&P, I will sell the glock for a fullsize M&P for compatability.

I shot Ben's M&P fullsize but the trigger in the mp9c feels a little different. Either the one I have has an apex reset or S&W changed it up because it has a very audible and tactile reset unlike all of the others i've seen. The Pre-travel is very mushy but the break is nice and crisp which I like. It will get an apex if I decide to keep it- I like the feel of them a lot.

I've always had guns in .40, just starting to wonder if I'm giving up a good amount of shoot-ability for not much more power. I'd keep both the 23 and the m&p but I don't like to train on two separate platforms or even calibers for that matter.

I don't see how you guys can switch back and forth because of the grip angle. I didn't really have any Glock complaints except I feel like I'm shooting at the ground with that grip angle to get the sights on target. I also feel like the Glock is more cheaply constructed than the other poly pistols.

If you like the S&W, I heartily recommend you pick up an XD and give it a few rounds too. I have 1911s and XDs, XDms, and Sigs.

I've owned an xd and shot many variants. I like them. The only gun that compares would be an xdm 3.8 and I wasn't a fan of the one I fondled. Too big/bulky/heavy

I've also got a .357sig barrel and a .22 conversion kit, so that gives me one gun (a 23) that can fire 4 calibers.

I'm sure m&p has something similar to this if you buy a .40, so this info is only if you were gonna sell the glock because you couldn't shoot 9mm.

That's an option I had forgotten about. I'd sell the 23 but it has some scratches on the ejector side from going in and out of kydex a million times-you can see in the pic- so I'd probably get raped on the value but feel free to shoot me an offer lol

If your a good shooter, it doesn't matter what platform you use. I shoot the same with my 23/M&P/1911. Good shooters learn to adapt and not bitch about the grip angle? Just saying.

I don't think you ever shot it stock. It got an Apex with the quickness.
