  • Walther p22 good deal?

Found one for used for $275 with 3 mags in a soft case. Also, I know they are picky about ammo so if I get it what ammo should I avoid, or look for if that's easier.

Just buy a Ruger .22 (22/45 or MK I II III family)

I've personally not liked any one of the Walther p22's I've shot. Don't seem to be very accurate.

I never shoot my p22.. just sits.

Mow my stainless PPK 22 with my sparrow or Spectre, I or whomever shoots it loves it.

Eh for a couple dollars more you could probably buy a new one. I love my p22.

Seems a little high, I though I remember those being <$300 new? I've shot a friend's p22, and with the right ammo his runs good. CCI high velocity works great, and there is some bulk copper plated high velocity stuff that work pretty well (remington??) Otherwise its a FTF/FTE machine while my buckmark keeps ticking.

Mine is a fte factory with any of the cheapo ammo. Not much better than my sons mosquito.

I never thought I'd like something better than the traditional Ruger .22's, but Buckmarks are the tits.

My M&P22 (same pistol, right?) runs fine on the Federal high velocity, Winchester lead subsonic and the Remington value pack

I picked up a ruger sr22 for 309 brand new from cheaper then dirt in mckinney. I have shot both and id say they are comparable guns. But for 275 used I think that might be on the high side. Maybe 240-250 if it has barely been shot.

Palmetto has had this Smith & Wesson on clearance for a few weeks for $189. Unfortunately its out of stock now. I've had one for a few years and its a great shooting gun, just doesn't have a threaded barrel.

Brand new ruger's can be had for about the same money.
