If you're a bow hunter or muzzleloader hunter you can go to the various public lands, not sure what part of town you're in but its generally free ( you have to get a permit from whoever manages the land usually).

Strange he looks broke up already on the other side too. I had a deer like that the looked like a big spike that had actually broke off the beam.

If he is broken he had one hell of a G1 on that side.

On a separate note we have one that has a single spike like that running around but never allows a shot. He is a real life unicorn.

Thanks, I'm aware of those. I'm looking for a 'management minded' place.

better photo. That antler is definitely deformed in someway, I'm hoping I see him and he is a true spike, think it would be pretty cool to have that one, well see!

Keep an eye out on the THF will be the best bet.

What area are you in and how far are you willing to drive could be a factor. There were a few places west of me at one point but I haven't heard of much lately.

Public land can still be a good hunt here in kansas. Texas is prob different with all the hog hunters. People will hit it here only around rut. Other than that you never see a soul.

Had this guys waiting for me when I got up to my feeder. Biggest buck I've see just standing there during daylight hours!!! I was about 200 yds away from him. Less than 24hrs till deer season!!!

Must have been a hell of a camera to get that shot from 200 yards.
