Nothing wrong with Hogue, but I just put an Ergo on mine. Just another option that's out there.

I prefer the MIAD over the hogue. But a Hogue is better than the A2.

Looks like I am going to put that. On my to do list.

BTW. How do you go about changing it out?

It's really easy, took me all of 2 minutes. There's a fairly large straight slot screw inside the grip (when you look through the opening at the bottom.
The only thing to watch out for it the detent and spring for the safe/fire selector. When you loosen the screw holding the grip on, bac the grip off of the lower receiver slowly (works best if you keep the rifle upside down). If you rush, you could lose the spring and/or detent.

Hogue also makes a grip plug for their grips. Holds a few different types of batteries and such.

But the Samson AR multitool is where it's at...

                        Replace that trigger ASAP!
                        The DPMS trigger is garbage!

Could not resist and went out and grabbed a Hogue grip today and just installed it. Initially it just feels a little more crowded for my fingers - but it is softer and feels like it would be a little more solid grip-wise.

It does seem a little nicer then stock (although I think stock looks better), but I'll know better after shooting a bunch.

Felt crowded to me at first too. I got used to mine and couldn't imagine going back to the A2.
