Found a lightly used STI Trojan for a couple bills less than new. It has the old billboard rollmarks but otherwise it looks great. My only hang up is the cast frame. Is that ridiculous or is it really worth ponying up for the Lawman or Sentry and the forged frame (~$500 more) for a range/home defense gun? This gun will get a good workout on a regular basis as my only 45 I own at the moment is my anniversary Colt and its a bit of a safe queen.

And yes, get the Trojan and don't worry about the cast frame. There are literally thousands of them that have been competition guns with 10's to 100's of thousands of rounds on them with no frame issues. A good price on it would be $900-$1k used... or they can be had for $1100ish new from dawson precision.Originally posted by stevoNot a good idea to go Tim 'The Toolman' Taylor on the power phallus.
