Got the notice from Buds that they had the Adams Arm piston AR blems on sale for $599. Anyone have any experience with them? Worth the price difference over the cheaper guns? The reviews said most buyers couldn't find the blemish. Seems like it might be a decent addition to the safe.

Lots of benefits to the piston drive vs DI. But they use more parts than a simple gas tube. More parts are more points of failure. At the same time though, the gas piston keeps heat and debri off the bolt and out of the upper receiver.
That said. I have a couple of the AA kits on guns and like them.Fuck you. We're going to Costco.

I too have a home built AA pistol and it rocks. Shoots soft and works great. It is pretty loud but can shoot all day long with a smile on my face.
Built mine with a spike's lower and stage 5 pistol buffer tube.
$599 is a great price.
