The most viable threat is somebody with a firearm in hand, the next being the person with an exposed weapon (open carry), concealed weapons don't become a threat until the attempted pull or exposure.

the other problem that open carry creates is that hostiles become harder to identify. Is that a meth head looking to kill me or is it frost exercising his 2a.

I hear this theory all the time. When has it ever actually happened? How many people intentionally commit a crime in front of the police?

I'll stick to concealed carry. I like to keep the element of surprise.

Which is exactly my point. He has opened carried for all that time, along with tens of thousands of other officers throughout the country. It's already well established that most gun attacks happen at places where guns are not allowed, or resistance will be minimal. If they were openly visible everywhere, what is the logical conclusion one would come to following that logic?

Okay, maybe I'm just a complete fucking asshole here. Someone please explain to me how someone who has carried an exposed weapon on their person for over 20 years telling me that carrying an exposed weapon on their person is a terrible idea and shouldn't be allowed makes sense. I'm all ears.

I don't want ANYBODY knowing I'm armed. Having an exposed firearm gets you shot first EVERY TIME.

North or South? Maybe I'll go toss some Cherry Bombs at them and see if a couple of them accidentally shoot each other.
