It keep the firearm completely concealed and easy to reach position. One can also move the gun in/out of the car discretely, or just shove the whole thing under the seat.
To test its discreteness, I've had one sitting on my lap while commuting to/from work in the VRE (commuter train in NoVA) for a month and no one even as much as bat an eye. Most "gun people" couldn't tell what it is when I showed it to them. Pick a color other than "Tactical" Black and people would think you are just hauling around an iPad case.Comment

I came across this tonight and remembered this thread. Not exactly cheap but if you use their holsters it makes for a really modular setup. Especially when open carry comes around.
