I like the way my taticool FDE came out.
Yep, that's pretty much what I am going for next. Only difference is I will free float the handguard and paint it FDE. I am a big fan of the Samson Evolution handguard, but they don't make it in FDE.

unfortunately you'd have to have it cerakoted if you want it in FDE.

It's called the Adams Arms XLP, that's their new 8 position gas block. I sent them an e-mail asking if it's compatible with existing piston setups (I would hope it is). Also if it will dial down cyclic rate (which I would be super interested in).

Does the Duracoat Magpul FDE not match?
Fuck you. We're going to Costco.

I'm sure it probably does. I personally like the Burnt Bronze that cerakote has.

I like that. I have the compressor, gun, lines, cups, cleaning agents (MEK) and station, and a handful of DuraCoat colors, I just haven't set it up to do any yet.

What kind of gun does it use? I have a nice SATA Digital HVLP, but I don't want to run cerakote through it if it's going to mess my gun up.

Use a cheap gun like this one

For DuraCoat you use MEK to clean it out.

I like the Aluma-hyde 2 from Brownells. Their Coyote Brown is a good match for Magpul FDE.

Although that bronze is pretty damn sweet. I like the look of the bronze with black furniture now that I see that. That may be the way I go, rather than FDE furniture with black upper.

What's a stripped upper/lower receiver run to get cerakoted? Just curious.

What lower is that? I got a DDLES 9mm lower because I don't like the way 223 mag wells look with pistol cartridge magazines.

Buddy of mine parked and painted (matte black) my Saiga conversion for $80.

I think he charges about $80 for most refinishing work, whether it be park or cerakote

That's just my SBR lower I tossed on there. It would be nice to be able to use a proprietary lower for these grease gun mags, unfortunately since I'm using my M16 lower, I have to modify the mags to work. I use a mag block and to make the mags fit I remove the welds from the collar, peel it off, and then squeeze the mag in a jig 0.10" to allow them to fit. Then cut the mag catch in the proper location.

                                I'm working on an LR-308.
So far I've put together a CMMG lower, DPMS upper and BCG, Geissele SSA-E trigger, and Magpul PRS stock.
Just need to get a barrel, rail, and I think I'm going to put a PRI Quiet Control brake on it.
I haven't decided whether I'm going to get a Black Hole Weaponry barrel or something more expensive like a Lilja, Les Baer, Shilen, etc.
Going with the Lancer LCH7 15" free float carbon fiber handguard.
