I really want to re-barrel both my 11.5" 5.56 and the 9.5" .300blk. They are both Model 1 barrels that I am sure I can sell off and finally invest some money in better stick.

Anyone know of some cheap(er) kits to build out the upper assemblies? I need 5-6 door kits and forward assists.
Fuck you. We're going to Costco.

I don't know if this is cheap for these parts but Primary Arms has this...

Well let me know when you part with that 11.5" I think I won't make this one a piston gun. I keep forgetting I want to do a DI gun with the Govnah adjustable gas block. I want to dial down the cyclic rate real low on an upper.

Done. I am thinking middle of July will be when I am home next. That upper is DI now and I really want to put it to Piston like I intended in the first place. Not even sure why I took the piston kit off and went to DI.

Looking further down that page, they have a Stag Arms kit with both of those items for $17.99. I don't know if Stag has quality stuff though.

You know, now that I think about it, I remember posting up an article that Adams Arms had a new adjustable gas block for thier piston setups. I think it had like 7 positions or something like that. I wonder if it has enough adjustment to dial back cyclic rate? That might be a cheaper option than buying a govnah block. I can't access their website to see if it's up there, I wonder how much the block is by itself?

It is, good stuff. It's all made by like 3 manufacturers. None of them suck.

I have spent way too much money over the past month between the Saiga conversion and the 1911 purchase. Need to chill for a while.

But an FDE middy is next on my list.

I like the way my taticool FDE came out.

My last totally complete build was a 6.8 SPC for my father in law. Love that rifle, if I hunted I would build my self one.

My current build is SPR / mk12 ish. Still need a PRI tube and top rail and to find a muzzle device I like better.
