Looking for a shotgun..

I want a home defense/ all around shotgun. It would mainly stay tucked in a closet, but i might pull it out to go shoot random stumps and a couple clays. I want to stay 24-20" and would like at least 5+1 the more the better. I want to stay under 500. Perfectly fine with buying a used gun in decent shape. I'm torn between wanting semi over pump. But i do like the 870 tactical and the 590a1. I like the rem 1100s and beyond that my knowledge is limited. I know their are a lot of cheaper clones out there, i just dont know whats junk, and whats good. I want a gun that will last for years. Can you guys point me in the right direction?

If you are wanting it to serve double duty get a gun that the barrel can easily be changed out on. Another thing to keep in mind shotgun accuracy can greatly be affected by fitment, therefore I recommend shouldering as many as possible.

I had a Mossberg 500 Pump...great home defense gun...26" barrel (or 24") with wood furniture, or simple unscrew and bolt up 18.5" barrel...I like pump for the simple reason for the possibility of a semi jamming on me.
