I did visit with a few police officers that went to a few things at fbi training in Quantico who said 9mm when shooting through auto glass. From what they were saying the velocity was key along with bonded bullets.

There are factory fmj/truncated cone 9mm loads that do just fine through glass.

Love the M&P, hate the trigger. Apex has a great fix, but I doubt any of these troopers will be able to use it.

I've been keeping up with this on another board and I hear that the M&P switch is on hold due to feeding issues. I'll dig up the link and post it on here.

I know one of the reasons for the switch to .357 Sig was penetration i.e. shooting into the cab of a vehicle. I wonder what ammunition they will be using in 9mm and will it still be similarly capable of doing the same thing.

It'll never match the .357 Sig for going through car doors/etc. It'll do ok going through them, but more dense barriers will be a problem.
