  • Springfield Armory Loaded 1911

Anyone have experience with this gun. I have a chance to pick up a stainless model in 45 for a little over $700. Any advice would be appreciated.

Good call, I had a parked full size loaded that was a really good shooter. I shouldn't have sold it but it was several years ago when I couldn't afford more than a few guns at a time. You should really enjoy it, they just suck as a carry gun for a short guy.

Great pistol, I regret selling mine. For the price and what you get plus a lifetime warranty (vs kimber's 1 year) it was one of my favorites. It was a great shooter. Will have to get another soon.

Got the SA 1911 Loaded from Jeff at live to shoot last night.

                  Dayum! Beautiful gun.

And the trigger....wow. Having never owned a 1911, I am impressed.

It might even be better than a Glock

While it won't explode, it is a 1911, so at least three out of ten rounds will FTF or FTE.

Oh, and how are you going to say it's beautiful without posting a pic?!?

I've got a crap RIA 1911 that doesn't FTF or FTE any ammo unless you are a limp wristed pansy. I'm willing to prove it too.

I won't own a pistol that has FTF or FTE problems. I've got Springfields, Sigs and 1911s..... no FTF or FTE problems here.

You guys with bad 1911s and or weak wrists just don't know what you are missing.

I was totally joking, just based on what I seem to see all too often in the anti glock and / or anti 1911 posts. I have not even owned one.

I will say that when I took my CHL class, the one guy with a 1911 had to borrow the instructors XD45 after numerous failures. Even after the instructor tried a quick clean and lube for him.

My Auto Ordnance 1911A1 has been just fine with 6 different kinds of ammo (brass case ball, steel case ball, and various HP). The biggest problem with a lot of lower-end 1911s seems to be the crap magazines they come with. I have never even loaded a single round in the magazine that came with mine.
