  • Glass - Vortex Viper PST 4-16X50 FFP

Anyone have one of these? If so, what's your opinion?

Also, being prior military, I'm familiar with MOA...How difficult is MRAD to grasp? I understand MRAD allows more minute/finer adjustments, is that accurate?

    Opinions.....

Moa is finer. Both are easy to use provided the turret matches the reticle.

As far as the scope goes they are a good bang for the buck. The glass is decent but their biggest draw is the options included over the glass.

I have that exact scope on my LR-308. Very good glass for the money.

They have a new model coming out here very shortly.

I'm pretty sure it's the same scope with two new reticle options.

I have the Vortex Viper PST 6-24x50 FFP on my LR308. The glass is decent, adjustments are good, turrets work great. Clarity is an 8 of 10, slight chromatic aberration in bright light. NV illuminated reticle is junk, mine never worked right. I went with the MOA reticle, more and easier conversions.

              Thanks for the feedback.

Okay, so I received the rail. Now I need to learn how to remove the delta ring so I can get it installed.

              Please Advise....

By the way, I picked up the PST 4-16x50 FFP MRAD earlier as well.

Once you guys provide me the guidance to remove the delta ring I can install the rail, mount the scope and go see what this thing will do!
