Ordering some VZ Grips and have questions

Man there are almost to many options for grips from this company and I'm still deciding on which ones to get.

My first question is I have two full size framed 1911's, one with an ambi safety and the other without. If I order the grip with an ambi safety will it also fit the one without it?

Second. Are the bushings and o-rings they offer necessary?

Anything else I need to know or buy along with just the grips??

They are very good. They shouldn't need any extra screws or bushings. If they are ambi then as long as the notch is cut from both sides, they will fit both 1911s.

Thanks for the info. I did a little further searching yesterday and found out that the bushings are needed though if you go with the slim grips. Not planning on going that route though so I should be fine.

Got another question. I was still mulling over what style and color to get today and I found on VZ Grips website they have a section for Sale items. I was looking through there and they have the grips I've been thinking about and it's $15 off the regular price. All set to buy them but it only gives me the option for the Extended Ambi (STI/Taurus). Will these still work for my Springfield Armory 1911? Help!!!

Right but will it work with the STI/Taurus Ambi?? Because those are the ones on sale and it wouldn't hurt if I can get what I want for $15 cheaper.

I was debating on buying them at $65 but finding the ones I wanted on sale for $50 sold me on them. Ordered the grips last Saturday, they shipped Monday, and I got them in the mail yesterday. I'm digging them, there certainly aggressive but certainly not slick like the dragon scale grips or factory grips I've had on there. I may order another set for my Kimber depending on what I find on sale.

No you weren't but I figured you would be packing that night. I always try to cover my gun side with my arm when I think I might brush up against anybody. Ya I didn't know his father in law was ex PD either
