Love it, I already have two M1As and a shit ton of .308 laying around so I'd like to get a 17s myself.Originally posted by racrguyWhat's your beef with NPR, because their listeners are typically more informed than others?Originally posted by racrguyVoting is a constitutional right, overthrowing the government isn't.

I hate each and every one of you for making me shop for a SCAR 17 after reading this thread

All jokes aside I picked up a SCAR 17 when they first hit that market and liked it other than the trigger. It was the worst one I have ever felt on a rifle that cost nearly 2.6k out of pocket even after stoning and narrowing the sear engagement surface a little. I guess that I have been with M1As for so long that I am spoiled rotten when it comes to a good trigger on a 7.62x51 battle rifle. I use a power customs stoning fixture and maybe someone smarter than me will make a SCAR 17 jig for it and come up with some specs on the cuts to make and things will improve to my liking. Until then I am sticking to what I feel most confident with.Magnus, I am your father. You need to ask your mother about a man named Calvin Klein.

Good idea! glad you got it worked out! ACOG's have some of the clearest glass there is."When the people find that they can vote themselves money, that will herald the end of the republic." -Benjamin Franklin

I am just baffled it took a week to figure it out. Also still showing in stock on their website. Can't see a 308 acog being a high commodity Either. Anyone know another place that has them priced good?

Well hell. I buy the most expensive gun I have ever bought and I just can't leave the thing alone. Thing shoots like a dream but now I am addicted to throwing money at it. I just bought the new saker 762 for it, so the wait on it begins. Now I want to cut down the barrel and have it engraved with the trust name. What do you guys think about having it cut down to 13 inches and does anyone know someone who does a great job at this and can thread plus engrave so I can send off the tax stamp on this.
