Love it, I already have two M1As and a shit ton of .308 laying around so I'd like to get a 17s myself.

I hate each and every one of you for making me shop for a SCAR 17 after reading this thread

Considering how there are only 1082 remaining in circulation that is baller indeed. What are you going to do once they are all gone? Slum it like I do with the new hundreds?

All jokes aside I picked up a SCAR 17 when they first hit that market and liked it other than the trigger. It was the worst one I have ever felt on a rifle that cost nearly 2.6k out of pocket even after stoning and narrowing the sear engagement surface a little. I guess that I have been with M1As for so long that I am spoiled rotten when it comes to a good trigger on a 7.62x51 battle rifle. I use a power customs stoning fixture and maybe someone smarter than me will make a SCAR 17 jig for it and come up with some specs on the cuts to make and things will improve to my liking. Until then I am sticking to what I feel most confident with.

Thanks, I like the rmr route. Anyone have any experience with the Mako group gen 2 vertical foregrip w/ bipod. Also called by some a t-pod gen 2. I just bought one, hoping I didn't just buy a piece of junk.

I ended up changing some things on the scar. Put a vertical grip on it that I had until the one I ordered comes in. I also have a 3.5x horseshoe acog on its way (man I am broke) Going to wait until that comes in to shoot this thing.

Good idea! glad you got it worked out! ACOG's have some of the clearest glass there is.

One week after placing my order for the acog I get an email from budsgunshop saying the item is out of stock and they are refunding me. Lame

Welp, since you can't get the ACOG you might as well sell me the rifle for a few hundred bucks.

Hah! Yea I guess you are right.
I am just baffled it took a week to figure it out. Also still showing in stock on their website. Can't see a 308 acog being a high commodity Either. Anyone know another place that has them priced good?

Well hell. I buy the most expensive gun I have ever bought and I just can't leave the thing alone. Thing shoots like a dream but now I am addicted to throwing money at it. I just bought the new saker 762 for it, so the wait on it begins. Now I want to cut down the barrel and have it engraved with the trust name. What do you guys think about having it cut down to 13 inches and does anyone know someone who does a great job at this and can thread plus engrave so I can send off the tax stamp on this.

Oh boy that's a heavy can! You better start pumping iron to hold that up! Should be pretty badass.
