    How far are you shooting?

I'm going to take a wild guess and say it isn't F-stamped. The F-stamped sights are .040" higher than non-stamped. And since you're out of upward adjustment, it's probably not an F-stamped sight. You can buy taller front sight posts few a few dollars on midway.

It was at 50 yards just trying to get on paper for zero'ing at 100. My guess is you're probably right CJ at this point. I don't recall seeing it but did not look for it - will take a look at replacing front sight post.

        Appreciate the help.

I just spent the 15 dollars on one - see how that works out. In the reviews a few people specifically mentioned this problem so I went with it.

              223/556 zero at 50 not 100.

Not all of them are literately marked F. Neither of my LMT uppers are F marked, but they are the correct front sights.

what? you can zero at whatever range you want. but yes, 50/200 zero is standard now for military as far as i know.

well if you are just shooting paper at 100 then yes zero at 100...

If you actually use your rifle plinking around at different distances, the 50/200 zero is the way to go.

Due to prior military experience I'm familiar with the 100 yard zero and the adjustments past that. Been shooting like that for too long to relearn - that's just my preference though.

Not all BUIS are the same. I believe they come in different heights and you need the rear to match the front. You may have a mismatched set.

Edit: That article says the rear ones are standard so there's no issue pairing it with a front one. Just make sure you have the correct one on the front.

Okay well that's an airsoft sight then most likely. And my experience with them is they are different heights than real mbus's.

I'll take a look and (try to) validate how to tell the difference for sure. That'll tick me off if it is not the correct rear sight.
